The Year 6 children had a wonderful visit to Bletchley Park as the culmination of their study of World War II in History lessons.
They had the opportunity to explore the different code breaking machines that played a role in ending the war and to learn about their historical significance. This was brought to life brilliantly through role play and costumes and props from the era.
Taking part in the Code Breaking and Ciphers Workshop proved very popular! The children applied their Reasoning skills and finely honed teamwork to decipher a range of codes in record breaking time.
The interactive exhibition which highlighted how coding developments made during the war continue to influence modern life also received rave reviews from the children.
They impressed both the Reddiford staff and the Bletchley Park staff with their extensive knowledge of the Second World War, Alan Turing and Morse Code!
