PGL 2019

Posted: 14th June 2019

The annual year 6 activity week went to PGL in Sussex. It is a week where the children can develop their skills and push their boundaries before setting off to their new secondary schools in September. This activity week is a part of the secondary transfer process that Reddiford School is committed to so that pupils continue to strive and achieve to their highest potential.

Monday 10th June

The children all quickly settled into their rooms and eagerly started their first activity. There may have been a slight drizzle but Raft Building was a huge success – EVERYONE somehow miraculously fell into the water, including Mr Gibson and Mr Gleeson! Other groups also enjoyed tackling All Aboard and Orienteering activities. The evening ended with some hilarious moments during Wacky Races.

Wednesday 12th June

A fun time was had by all yesterday! Year 6’s enthusiasm was lovely to see as they completed each activity. The weather is slightly cooler today but the children are still very excited and ready to start their Fencing, Jacob’s Ladder and Rifle Shooting activities.

Thursday 13th June

Despite the inclement weather, all the children had a fun packed day yesterday. They enjoyed working collaboratively and successfully completed many team activities. Today looks to be warmer as the children get ready for Aeroball, Giant Swing and Abseiling.

Friday 14th June

One final activity to complete this morning! Everybody has had a fantastic time at PGL and achieved so much. We anticipate arriving back at school later today at approximately 4.15pm.
